The town of Giżycko is working on several projects to revive the area surrounding the Boyen Fortress and ensure that it can serve not only the local inhabitants but also tourists from around the world. The most recent initiatives include its participation in the “Baltic Culture and Tourism Fortresses’ Route” project co-financed by the European Union as part of the Community Initiative Interreg III B BSR.
